Photos of the Makers’ Fair

Thank you so much to all those who participated this weekend in the Makers’ Fair. There was such a great atmosphere. The event was really appreciated by those who came to visit.

So… to all those setting up, invigilating and helping with take-down – you’ve been stars! We hope you’ve enjoyed getting involved in this annual big collective event. We send you our sincerest thanks for all your help and making this event such a joy to work on!

We estimate that around 600-800 people attended the fair this weekend, some of whom had never been to the building. The community café went really well so we hope to continue to be able to put this on during our events.

There are a few photos below but you can see more photos on our Facebook page.

You may have noticed…

We’ve been building again

A new room has appeared on the Ground Floor. What’s it for I hear you ask?

Well due to recent developments with Super Fast Broadband in the area, Edinburgh Palette is keen to explore options for piping cable into the building. To do this, it requires a space for hardware and cabling to be housed.

Open Doors 2016 was a huge success!

Thank you everyone who made the Open Doors event so amazing this year – the artists who opened their studios, the artists exhibiting in the galleries, the friendly and helpful staff, our brilliant volunteers and the delightful visitors who made the weekend such a pleasure.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we look forward to the Makers’ Fair 10th & 11th and 17th & 18th of December. More details on that to follow very soon…

While we wait for all the photos to come in from our fabulous media team, we’ve got these two videos of the event to share with you.
