If you are new to glass, but would like to design and make few pieces of unique summer jewellery then this class is for you. You don’t need any prior skills or knowledge, just imagination and creativity.
We will use colorful fusable glass, which incorporates metals and is perfect for making sparkling jewellery, and both a microwave and a larger glass kiln.
In the class you will learn:
• the basics of fusing glass
• how to cut and layer glass in preparation for fusing
• how to fuse glass in a kiln
• post-fusing processing, such as grinding and polishing
• how to attach jewellery findings to glass
At the end of the class you will take home a finished pendant (or two) and a pair of earrings of your own design. You can also follow a pre-designed project.
Tools, materials and refreshments will be provided, but please bring an apron with you.
