Special Guests at St Margaret’s House

We’re excited to announce two very important visitors to the building next week.

On Tuesday we welcome the Leader of the Scottish Labour Party, Kezia Dugdale, for a mini tour of the building and galleries. Kezia is local to the area and very keen to learn more about the activities taking place on her doorstep. She’ll be popping in around 10.30 am, so say hello if you see her or if she knocks on your studio door.

Re-opening of the Swap Shop

HUGE apologies for the swap shop being closed so much recently. This is mainly been due to a larger then usual number of donations/people moving out of the building as well as usual donations.

When so much is donated at once it gets untidy and unmanageable with items strewn about the floor making it unsafe. This can take ages to sort out with limited volunteer hours available.

Photos of our Special Guest visits

Last week on the 27th of July, Edinburgh Palette was honoured to show our local MSP, Ash Denham around St Margaret’s House. It was a really positive visit including  taking in Upward Mobility, the Gallery Space, Academy of Realist Art, Edinburgh Judo, and Link Up.
You can follow MSP Ash Denham on twitter to find out more about her interests.

Previously this month we also had Councillor Alex Lunn (Craigentinny and Duddingston Ward) popping in for a coffee and a guided tour of the facilities.

To keep you all updated, here are a few photos of their visits. It’s a great opportunity for us to demonstrate what a hub for innovation and creativity Edinburgh Palette is and raise even greater awareness of the Project in the local area and further afield.
