2016 has been an exciting and busy year here at St Margaret’s House.
As the year draws to a close we’d like to thank you all for your continued support towards the Edinburgh Palette project.
This year we welcomed 3 new staff members at St Margaret’s House, as part of our Arts Community team.
Cécile Levavasseur as assistant towards galleries and events running with Edinburgh Palette, Johanna Crossley-Zels our new and first Communication Officer and Giosue Bima part of the main Office team – all three dived into the lively ‘hub’ by helping to design and run the Open Doors and the Makers’ Fair of 2016.
Throughout this year, Edinburgh Palette has hosted more than 40 exhibitions with both new and established artists, organisations and art collectives; facilitated gallery residencies for several artists from the project; & haven partaken in various art and community projects in Scotland and France. (Community Garden at St Margaret’s House with Upward Mobility Project, Annual Fashion Show in Paris with Lycée Albert de Mun, Never-ending Glen Art Trail at Kelburn Estate 2016…)
It’s been a productive year for Edinburgh Palette!
We will write a longer round up of all we have done later in January, with what is also in store for next year. In the meantime from all of us at Edinburgh Palette :
We wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy & peaceful New Year!
This new year should bring it’s new wave of excitement, adventure and opportunities in creation.
For a glimpse of what is to come, here is a video of Eddie, our relentless space maker, working on Gallery 2 conversion.
Creatively yours,
The Edinburgh Palette Team
