Suitable for all – you don’t need to be a singer or an artist to take part – just a love for words and creativity!
This weekend-long workshop provides an opportunity to engage with traditional song in a truly unique way. Led by members of the Vessel Project, you will learn songs themed around a cycle of birth, love and death, and explore the images your chosen song evokes to create your own sculptural ‘Song Vessel’.

Tap into artist and illustrator Brigid Collin’s knowledge and experience of making complex, delicate structures, using wire, collage, natural forms and other exciting materials. Her passion for combining words and imagery forms a unique connection with renowned traditional singer Naomi Harvey, whose expertise stems from a love for exploring the layers of meaning within songs that have been passed down through time, imbuing them with a rich patina of imagery and history.
