This class is suitable for Beginners and those wishing to study the basic asanas (poses).
Iyengar yoga is suitable for everyone but is especially well suited to those who are stiff and to athletes. Regular practice will build flexibility and strength, while preserving the health of your joints. Over the term, you will be introduced to a full range of asanas, including standing and seated poses, twists, forward bends, balancings and inversions. You learn the actions required for the more challenging poses in the simpler ones and progress at your own pace, with full instruction and assistance and the use of props (bricks, chairs, blankets etc.) as required.
This class has a male teacher and is particularly popular with male students, although all are welcome!
