Saturday 21 October, 2017 - Sunday 22 October, 2017
11:00 am - 6:00 pm
St Margaret’s House residents will open the doors of their studios this Autumn, on the 21st and 22nd of October 2017. This is a fantastic opportunity to discover the wonders that lie behind the door of each studio in the building, and meet an astounding array of creative people from all fields from art to charity, crafts and other worlds.
For the first time, we are delighted also this year to open our doors to the Scottish International Storytelling Festival for a fantastic travel from studio to studio with our in-house storyteller Jan Bee Brown from the Thrive Archive. Want to get your studio involved? Read the invitation from Jan Bee Brown here.
Free workshops, a pop-up café and one-off performances will take place across the building’s eight storeys. Visitors will also be able to enjoy three exhibitions in our galleries from Medley 5, Jacqui Higgs and Mary Walters, and Megan Burt.
For all residents interested in being part of this years event, please fill in our online registration form this month (available here by the end of this week) and the Arts & Community team will contact you.
For more info or any questions, please contact Cécile at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The building will open at 11am and close 6pm both days. Parking spaces are limited but the centre is located on a main bus route and has disabled access.
