The artists, designers and charities based in St Margaret’s House will welcome the public in a special weekend event. Located on Edinburgh’s London Road, it opens its doors to the public on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.
Open Studios was started to reveal the breadth of the art, projects and enterprises going on within the brown brick building. Edinburgh Palette has been steadily transforming the space into a vibrant art centre since 2008. Artists and creative businesses are the lifeblood of this former office block, which today offers exhibition, studio and project spaces to local artists and creative businesses.
For the first time, Edinburgh Palette will be delivering a joint programme of creative events in partnership with Wasps and Process Studios, as part of LeithLate15. Free workshops, a pop-up café and one-off performances will also take place across all eight storeys of St Margaret’s House.
Parking spaces are limited but the centre is located on a main bus route and has disabled access.
