A small group of enthusiasts led by Mary Walters (past director of Edinburgh’s unique Slide Workshop: 1980 – 2000) are to be based at St Margaret’s House in the galleries to explore relationships between a variety of analogue and digital projection methods – and also to investigate the potential of the spaces created by the projected images.
One of the core interests of the group is also to create a projected installation with ICE as the main projection surface. This will enable ideas

Our classes are fun and friendly. They introduce different artists and techniques each week, This term we are focusing on colour and pattern in modern art. Children use a variety of materials and are encouraged to further their ability and imagination. Class sizes are small (between 8-15 children) allowing us to spend time with each child and welcome all abilities. Classes are led by Arts Education Tutor Poppy Richards who works across a

PILATES 4 ALL by Clare Shillinglaw
I run fun and friendly Pilates classes held in the Drawing Room, 3rd Floor on Tuesday evenings 5-6pm 6:15-7:15pm.
Pilates is amazing for improving posture, balance, flexibility and easing any muscle and joint niggles. Regular practice can help you build long and lean muscle, strengthen the core from within and relax the mind. It is suitable for a wide range of people, from beginners to professional sportspeople, and including pregnant women and seniors so please come along!

The course is the recognised 8-week Mindfulness Based Living Course accredited by the Mindfulness Association.

It’s a friendly, relaxing course with different practices and activities to suit different tastes and needs. It is both educational and experiential. We learn to look inward, with kindness and in safety, at our physical sensations, our thoughts and our feelings, whatever they are. The intention is to allow and accept how things are without great effort and this can lead to profound change. There are 7 sessions in 2017 and a final session on 9 January with an optional day retreat included in the cost. Also included are recordings and a course manual.
