News Featured Chris Rutterford is on the lookout for ‘warriors’ to add his latest mural project

Want to be part of a new mural celebrating the Battle of Bannockburn? Fancy yourself a warrior in the making? St Margaret’s own Chris Rutterford is wants you to be part of his latest mural project, funded through the Kickstarter platform, where all those making a donation  will become a face in the mural and part of Robert the Bruce’s infamous army.

The nine metre by four metre mural will be painted and displayed during the Audience With Bannockburn festival in the Scottish Storytelling Centre on Edinburgh in June, and later exhibited at the Bannockburn heritage centre. Chris is aiming to raise about £7000 for the project and wants people to send pictures of themselves in battle poses that he willadd to a giant army.

Scotland and Glasgow Warriors rugby player Alastair Kellock was one of the first to buy a space in the mural at a charity auction for the Princess Trust for Carers and has been placed beside Robert the Bruce at the centre of the painting.

So why not add yourself to the mix and donate! Link to the kick-starter page can be found here, or follow the progress of the mural on Chris’s facebook page.
