St Margaret’s galleries featured in Evening News

A painter currently exhibiting at St Margaret’s House has been featured in a national newspaper. If you missed the print edition, you can read Edinburgh Evening News’ interview with painter Michael Wight online.

In the article, he speaks about his latest show and the illness that informs his practice. Michael, from Gilmerton, was diagnosed with X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) – a condition that affects just one in 200,000 newborn babies – when he was three years old.

Opportunity | Showcase work in the Grassmarket Public Realm Space

The Grassmarket in Edinburgh’s Old Town is a popular historic tourist destination which now offers a fantastic platform for creative activity. Greater Grassmarket BID is keen to work with new and emerging artists who want to exhibit quality artwork or performance art. The BID can facilitate the use of the Public Realm Space and provide logistical support in licensing, funding and site management.

Greater Grassmarket is also working with Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel who can provide unique and modern indoor exhibition space that overlooks the Grassmarket through large open glass windows.  In addition the Hotel offers a foyer area for drinks exhibition receptions. Plus we work with the Apex Grassmarket Hotel which features stunning event space with views overlooking Edinburgh Castle.

Yoga Now classes | Spring 2016

The new term of yoga classes at Yoga Now starts on Monday 11th January.
Add a yoga class to your weekly routine – Yoga Now is a lovely studio on the 4th floor of St.Margaret’s House. It is fully equipped with mats, blocks, belts, chairs, bolsters and even wall ropes! You just need to wear stretchy clothes and bare feet.

Kira from Edinburgh School of Music is looking to sublet her studio space 50/50 with someone. The space is bright and clean perfect for meetings, groups, office use, theatre space and music practice/tuition. The room has a large table and chairs, comfortable couch and electric piano and PA system.
