Hi, I am Izzy; the new textile nerd / technician at Prinbase in B2.
I graduated with a First Class Honours in Printed Textiles from Edinburgh College of Art in 2011.
On completion of my degree I became an Artist-in-Resident at Edinburgh College of Art in the very printroom that offered me four enriching years, learning about textiles, design, hand-printing and creativity.
This experience exposed me to the technical side of the printroom which has travelled with me as resident and technician at other studios.
I continue to tutor, research, make and get involved with cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural projects, feeding my curiosity for technique, process and exchange.
Now I am at Printbase to develop the printroom as a textile and paper printing facility for its users, members and students; supporting Kim and Alex with their bright vision for Edinburgh Design School. I am delighted to be a part of their initiative and to be part of the Art Palette’s community.
