Realist Wednesdays | Call for models

Realist Wednesdays – Out Of Hours are a group of students studying at the Academy of Realist Art on the Fifth Floor of St Margaret’s.
Every Wednesday from 6pm until 9pm on the fifth floor the students independently organize a 3 hour out of hours clothed portrait drawing/painting/digital art session for extra portrait practise.

At the moment they are looking for some portrait victims/volunteers for January and February 2016. There’s no payment just the chance to take away any photos of the portraits, have the experience of sitting for the art students, have a cup of tea/coffee made for them and (this may be the clincher) pick the radio station to listen to.
Normally the portrait sitter holds the seated pose for 20 mins before a 5 minute break. Later there is a longer 15 minute break. The portraits rarely get finished in a 3 hour session but the portrait practise is invaluable and helps all the students greatly.
Some of their work can be seen by searching Instagram for #realistwednesdays or #outofhours
