UNSPOKEN – A Collage Journey

UNSPOKEN showcases a collection of analogue collage compositions which represent the exploration of oneself’s inner world.

Collage used as a medium to expose what’s within, through the use of repetitive elements that encapsulate a profound symbolism. Desires, fears, emotions. Collage seen as an expression of the truth that’s not put into words.

Artist Intro:
Judit Sin Hache is a Spanish born artist based in Edinburgh. She graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2021 studying fashion design. After completing her degree, she became immersed in collage making, art she was introduced to during her childhood by her dad, who was her early source of inspiration.

She describes her work as the materialisation of her inner realities through paper manipulation. Highly inspired by the intricacy and symbolism of surrealism and her own personal experiences. Her compositions are a combination of a variety of sources: magazines, books, paints, fabrics. Although what makes her collages very distinctive is her stitching details. Her sewing machine plays a major role throughout her creative process. ‘‘There’s something about sewing on paper that is very fulfilling and makes me feel deeply connected to my work’’.
