There’s memory in ice, glacial history melting onto the land.
Mountains shaped by ice are now pouring it, liquified.
Down their valleys race the waters onto seas that rise and rise, flooding our lands.
LIQUID: A substance that flows freely and has no definite shape.
Some synonyms :
Fluid.
Aqueous.
Watery.
All of which imply the ability to flow and take the shape of the container they are poured into.
Another flowing synonym for liquid is streaming, which expresses the idea of a continuous movement of a liquid substance.
And from LIQUID we get LIQUIDATION.

Annihilation
Bankruptcy
Destruction
Elimination
Extermination
Killing
Murder
Purge
Other synonyms:
Extinguishment, bankruptcy, obliteration.

I am alarmed. To name a few reasons for my concern:
Arctic ice is dissapearing, 44% since 1979.
Himalayan glaciers are retreating, at this rate 80% will be gone in 70 years.
