News Upward Mobility Fundraiser

Help us rise funds so that our students can record a professional music CD.

Students and staff from Upward Mobility will be visiting studios in the building today – Thursday 9th November – to offering raffle tickets for sale to help us raise funds for our work. Specifically we are wanting to raise money so that our students can produce a professionally recorded CD. Some of our students are in a band (The UpMo Experience) and they have been doing a number of really successful gigs n Edinburgh and Glasgow. We would really like to professionally record some of the songs that they have written and which they perform, before  staff and students leave the project (at which point the make up of the band will change.) A professional recording would be a huge achievement and validation for our staff and students, it would also be something that we could share with parents, families and funders. In addition we could sell copies to raise further funds for the project.

There are some great raffle prizes – including whiskey, a meal out for two, and tickets to the Jam House New Year’s Eve party.

Also, we still have some tickets available for our Wild Ponies Americana Gig on Friday 10th November at St Peters Church, Lutton Place, Edinburgh. Tickets available from Wendy or Cameron in the Finance office on the ground floor. Doors open at 7pm.
