Cancer Research UK Fundraiser – 30 Days of Yoga in June Challenge

There are a lot of people online doing this challenge and I felt I wanted to take part. I have been questioning myself over and over of what sits right since my life is full of change at present.

I would like to offer sessions in person on Mondays and Fridays at Studio 6.02, 12:00 -12:30, any donation to go to the link below. The sessions will be 30 minutes long. Ideal to take a pause, breathe, switch off and go back to create after and still be able to have lunch!

Annamaria’s Yoga Challenge Giving Page (cancerresearchuk.org)

this is the link to book your space by selecting the dates you wish to come. You just need to bring yourself. 6.02 is as you come out of the lift, turn left, then through the double doors, the door in front of you.

Coco Counselling in Communities Makers Market

We are CoCo Counselling in Communities (www.cocoed.org.uk), a small not-for-profit counselling organisation based in the Southside of Edinburgh. We offer one to one counselling and psychotherapy to all those in the community seeking support for their mental health. Our premise is that all people should have access to affordable counselling within their community, regardless of their ability to pay. In addition to our indoor work, we offer a unique ‘walk and talk’ service for those who seek solace in the outdoors.

On Saturday 28th May we will be holding a Makers Market to raise funds for our much-needed affordable counselling service. The market will consist of around 14 traders, all local makers and artists. In addition, there will be refreshments, music and a silent auction where people can bid for a range of prizes.

Creative Acting Classes

These classes offer you the opportunity to creatively explore and learn acting skills, as well as gaining new character building tools in a well-held, playful and supportive space.

We will explore and draw on a range of different approaches and techniques together, including those inspired by Stanislavski (imagination, senses and emotions), Grotowski (creative bodywork and somatic movement), Jacques Lecoq (clowning and miming), and Yoshi Oida (exploring the use of space and developing stage presence).

The classes will involve:

  • individual and group exercises, and drama games
  • deep self exploration and building confidence, imagination and creativity
  • understanding and developing characters
  •  exploring the use of voice and body through vocal and physical expression and movement
  • clowning and miming
  • working with scripts, using environment, sound, space, personal experience and characters to explore text and performance

No previous experience is required, and all levels from total beginners to experienced practitioners are welcome. I will adapt our work together to your needs and experience, as well as to the wishes of the group. Feedback will be given throughout the course and all questions are encouraged.

Spaces are limited to 8 people, to enable in-depth work in a safe space. Initially, we will have 4 weeks together (from-until), after which we will discuss a future course if you would like to deepen your work in level 2.

If you would like any further information and to sign up, feel free to call me under 07548131171 or email me at jelenabasic33@gmail.com

I very much look forward to hearing from you!

Love, Jelena

It’s a great way to boost your bookings early on and set you up for a successful year! We already have 1 of the teachers based at St Margaret’s House on our platform and they are receiving great bookings and increasing their revenue.

You can check out our site www.classbento.co.uk

You choose your pricing, duration, capacities, etc to ensure the classes are financially viable for you.

We take care of everything for you in the backend – admin, transactional, and reminder emails, collate your reviews, etc.

You will have access to the backend system where you can contact students, rearrange classes, update your classes, and more.

We can build you a widget to integrate with your own website, this uses our backend system but we only take 3.9% commission from these bookings.

Our content team is happy to create the listings for you and we get back to you just to make sure you’re happy with how they look. All we need is some basic information about the classes and most of that will be attainable from your website.

We market your classes by paid-for advertisements on social media and search engines and we are also heavily featured in the media.

We will also be donating to Mental Health UK
