Christmas Makers’ Market Pop-Up Exhibition

5th December – drop off works to the gallery

6th – setup (Marcin will curate and hang all the artworks)

7th – the market and exhibition open to audience from 11am until 5pm

8th – all works need to be collected

Each artist will have to prepare their own labels with name, title, medium and price. Each artist can bring 2-3 pieces, however Marcin can’t guarantee that all of them will be showcased (depending on how much space will be available). The exhibition is a good opportunity for artists to promote their art so I would encourage everyone to have business cards next to their works with contact details. In case of any purchase artists will have to deal directly with the customer.  It’s a good opportunity to talk to potential clients. We don’t take any percentage from sales and there’s no fees for participation. The exhibition is for the tenants only. For any questions artists should contact Marcin via email or pop in to the office.

We require volunteers to help with the invigilation of both galleries, please get in touch if this is something you would be interested in.

Moving Image Arts

Moving Image Arts is an AS level that looks in depth at film technique, history and lets students apply this to their own film.

Screen Education Edinburgh have a strong record in the delivery of the course, with 64% of students on the course here going on to study film in Further and Higher education, and others finding places in the industry. We believe that this is a tremendous opportunity where students are guaranteed to make their own films.

The course is free and open to anyone between the ages of 16 and 21 in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, and we have several final spaces remaining on the course before it begins on Tuesday 1 October. Students are not required to have made a film before, but an interest would be useful.

Check out their website for more information and the application forms: https://screen-ed.org/moving-image-arts/
