Studio 2.32 is a large, well-equipped and practical ceramics studio. The facilities are shared by the twelve members of the Collective.
We all have (at least a basic) knowledge of making pottery and a desire to learn, for most it can only be a hobby. For others, it has been away back into a creative working life.
The pottery equipment – mainly inherited, donated or bought secondhand – is built to last. The latest piece of equipment to be installed is a glaze spraying booth plus its air compressor. Last year, in partnership with Edinburgh Palette, we successfully applied for Heritage Lottery funding to set up a unique lustre kiln and our small gas kiln, which are now housed in a steel container in the car park.
