News Scottish Parliament congratulates Upward Mobility

Ash Denham vists UpmoEdinburgh Palette is delighted to announce that a motion to congratulate Upward Mobility on their recent grant award was lodged by MSP Ash Denham with the Scottish Parliament on the 24th of January.

The full motion can be be read below:

“That the Parliament congratulates Upward Mobility Ltd, which is based in the Edinburgh Eastern constituency, on receiving a grant of £46,284 from the Young Start programme; appreciates that this project will provide training and work experience to young people with learningdisabilities and autistic spectrum disorder; acknowledges that 50 young people in Edinburgh and the Lothians, some of whom already attend Upward Mobility, will be supported to run their own professional café service for five days a week; appreciates that the café will be established as a social enterprise within a busy building that hosts up to 200 artists linked to several different creative businesses, and wishes the enterprise all the success in the future.”
