Salvage is an exhibition of recent work by artist jeweller, Eleanor Symms and abstract painter, Alan Chapman. Both share an experimental approach to their work, collecting and responding to discarded, or ‘found’ materials.

Eleanor Symms’s highly original and very wearable jewellery combines reclaimed plastics with precious materials, challenging our perceptions of preciousness and disposability.

Alan Chapman is an Edinburgh-based painter and printmaker whose work combines painting, collage and printmaking techniques to produce sheets of pure colour. The works in Salvage are the latest in a series of paintings, which he began in 2014, exploring disparate forms coming together and drifting apart.

Exhibition open 11 am – 4 pm  on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September and Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September
