Residents My Account Directory Help

All residents and studio sharers have the possibility to edit their profile on the Residents’ Directory.

Visitors are able to search for a resident by building, floor, field of work and by keywords. When a visitor searches the directory, residents’ details will appear first as a summary, then the visitor will be able to click for more information.

If you would prefer to not be included in the Directory, you don’t need to do anything. Don’t edit your details and we will make sure you stay ex-directory. There is a ‘Publish my Directory’ checkbox when you edit your directory profile, only when this has been checked will we publish your profile.

To Edit your Directory Profile

Click the Resident login link at the top of the website. Enter your username and password here and click Log in.
Once you have logged in, click the My Account link at the top of the website and click Edit your Directory Profile.

Here you can edit your details that will be listed in the Residents’ Directory.

There are 2 tabs in the left column. The main one is ‘Profile Info’ where the majority of your information is added. ‘Search Info’ is used for adding some additional, searchable keywords.

Once you’re logged in, click on the My Account link to:

    Your Forum profile is only visible to fellow residents. Whereas your Residents’ Directory profile is visible to the public so you might want these to say different things.

Directory Profile / Profile Info

Display Name
Enter the name you want to use for your Residents’ Directory listing.
Eg your name or your business name.

Publish my Directory Profile
Check this checkbox to be included in the directory. You can un-check this at any time and we will remove your profile.

Maximum of 1200 characters.

Note: Click the red Update button at the bottom of the page to save at any point.

Public Phone Number

Email Address
This will not be publicly available. If you would like members of the public to be able to contact you, enter an email address, and a small enquiry form will be added to your listing.

Website Address
If you have a website, enter the full url (ie make sure you include the https://… )

Social Media Links
If you would like to add links to your Social Media pages, add the full urls and the buttons will be displayed on your details page.
The options are:
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, Vimeo, LinkedIn and Instagram

You can add up to 8 images here.

Your images will be reduced automatically when you upload them.

You can add the following formats: png, gif, jpg, jpeg

Tip: Your images will look much better if they have no white border and no text (if possible).

  1. Click the Add to Gallery button
  2. A window will open called Add Image to Gallery
  3. Click the Upload Files tab
    Either drag and drop the image files from your desktop, or click Select Files.
    Locate your image files on your computer and click Open.
    Note: You can select more than one at a time.
  4. As your images are uploaded you will see them appear in the Add Image to Gallery window. This will take a few moments.
  5. All the images will have a tick in the corner. This means they are selected and will appear in your gallery.
  6. Click Select.

To change the order of your images, click on an image in the Gallery panel and drag to the right position.

To remove an image from your gallery, hover over the image and a cross will appear in the corner. Click this cross and the image will be removed.

You can add more images to your gallery at any time (up to a maximum of 8), by clicking the Add to Gallery button.
If your image has already been uploaded you will see it in the Media Library tab.
Or to add new images, click the Upload files tab.
The images with a blue border around them will appear in the gallery.

Click Upload Files tab to add new images.

The images will not display with a title or caption.
However text that you add in the alt field will appear in the code for that image which is useful for accessibility and for Search Engine Optimisation.

Field of Work
Select the Field of Work that best applies to you. You can select more than one.

These categories are deliberately broad. If you do not feel your practice or field of work is represented here, please choose more accurate terms from the keywords in the Search Info tab.

Note: Click the Update button at the bottom of the page to save at any point.

Search Info / Searchable Keywords

Refers to the tab on the top left of the page.
Searchable keywords can be used to find you within the site search.
Enter a few keywords separated by commas.
If your display name is your business name you should also add your name to help people find you.
E.g: If your Display name is ‘1A Photography’, your keywords might be:
Jane Smith, John Smith, Photography

If you have lost your password.

To reset your password click here »
Enter your username or your email address and click Get New Password.
An email will be sent to your registered email address.

If you cannot remember your username or email address, then please contact Carly, and she will reset this for you.

To change your password

After you have logged in, click on the My Account link at the top of the website. Click the Your Settings link.
Enter your current password and your new password and click Update.
