This is an introductory class in shibori dyeing techniques combined with beautiful natural dyeing colours.
During the workshop we will explore different shibori techniques – a traditional Japanese textile art form in which uses stitching and binding the fabric before dyeing to create and array of patterns. Then, the real magical of this class…we’ll use turmeric to dye our fabrics! This wonderful spice will leave our fabrics a gorgeous vibrant yellow, ready to fight of the grey gloom of our winter months. And just for an extra bonus it is non-toxic to us or the planet!
Bring your own lunch, we will use this time to get to know each other and enjoy the Saturday together!
