Community Events Silver ring making

Sunday 14 July 2019 10:00am - 1:00pm
St Margaret's House
Teacher: Leah Bastiani
Suitable for: All levels
Price: £45
Location: Studio 4.22

This workshop is suitable for all levels, including beginners and is a great introduction to silver jewellery making
Learn how to make a silver ring to fit you by measuring your finger with a ring sizer, then sawing silver wire of your choice to the right length. You will file and shape your metal ready to solder using a blowtorch. You can then use various jewellery making tools such as hammers and punches to add your own personal touch. You can stamp a name, initials or a date on it or use some of my pattern punches such as a star, heart, paw print or daisy to create a ring like no one else’s! Your finished ring will then be polished and ready to wear at the end of the session.

Other dates: Thursday 25th July 10am – 1pm
