What are DIY Reusable Cloth Sanitary Pads?
They’re an eco-friendly alternative to single-use sanitary pads. You can make a pad that suits you best. From regular monthly ones, panty liners as back up for your moon cup, post partum or stress incontinence pads or night pads. They’re wonderfully soft, made to measure and best of all, washable, ready for using again and again, month after month, year after year. Perfect for reducing health risks, reducing your plastic use, saving money and diverting from landfill.

What will I do at this class?
Soak up the knowledge and have fun sewing our fabulous tried and tested pad design from textiles you probably already have at home. We’ve done all the research, testing and hard work so you don’t have to. What shape? Which fabrics are best? What size? How many layers? Best care options? By the end of the class you’ll take home your very own made-to-measure pad and the skills to make many more plus the knowledge to look after them.

Why take this class?
It’s empowering! Get in control of what goes next to your skin, ditch the plastic and become a more conscious consumer.
It’s healthier, you’ll be reducing your exposure to synthetic fibres, dioxins, wood pulp that’s bleached in chlorine dioxide, leaching plastics, sodium polyacrylate crystals, artificial fragrances, adhesives and chemical gels. Reducing your risk of yeast infections, toxic shock syndrome, ovarian and cervical cancer and contact dermatitis. Many users even report reduced menstrual cramps.
It saves you money, around £13/month.

Yes, it’s a small step towards reducing your impact on the planet but each step adds up to a big impact. Us girls use 12-17,000 hygiene products in our lifetime, some are incinerated, most go to landfill and some are flushed- around 700,000 panty liners, 2.5 million tampons and 1.4 million sanitary towels in the UK every single day!
It’s learning in a social, fun and relaxing way with like-minded people.
They make great eco gifts!
