A Life Journey through Creativity By Sylvie Stainton
My inspiration as a painter and sculptor comes from what I observe and feel as it echoes from the world we live in. My work is guided by a deep connection to Nature and its Soul: the outer and inner landscapes, the visible and invisible.
Increasingly what happens in the world emerges through forms, shapes, lines, colours and movement as it expresses itself from the raw materials of the canvases, wood and/or stone.
Sylvie is French and studied Applied Arts (Ceramics) in Paris in the Seventies. She has been residing in Scotland for thirty years where she has taken part in several exhibitions.
Her creative journey was interrupted for twenty five years as she followed other paths. On 1st January 1999 she started to paint again using what was at hand: cardboard, white gloss paint, charcoal and gold spray.
