Join Katharine from Gilbert & Marnie and learn the tips and tricks of successful intarsia knitting (also known as picture knitting).
Techniques to be covered:
- Reading and understanding an Intarsia Chart.
- Working in multiple colours using knitters bobbins.
- Changing colours and twisting yarn to avoid holes.
- Weaving in ends neatly and securely
Skill level
You will be able to knit and purl with confidence and have completed at least one colour work project.
Materials
3 shades of DK yarn.
4 or 5 mm needles.
Darning needle
3 knitters bobbins.
All workshops are held in my dye studio (which is near the shop). After booking you will be emailed with the details on how to access the building. Please note payment is required to book in to this workshop, and is non-refundable.
