Hand Embroidery is a lovely creative activity for children to learn. In this sewing class for ages 8-12, we’ll be making a felt heart keychain. This is a lovely school holiday activity for children.

I learned to sew as a very young child. My earliest memories involve playing with fabric scraps. Sewing develops manual dexterity and excellent hand/eye coordination. It also stimulates a child’s imagination and creativity.

What will my child learn?

combining felt and other fabrics to make a heart-shaped key chain charm.

Sewing is an ideal creative activity for children. It develops their manual dexterity, hand/eye co-ordination, and encourages focus and concentration. Plus it gives them a huge sense of achievement and self-worth.
