Get into festive mood by making your own Christmas decorations while learning the basics of fused glass.

Kiln-formed or fused glass is an approach that enables individual pieces of glass to be assembled and transformed into a single object when heated to high temperature in a kiln. Depending on the temperature used, different textures and other interesting visual effects can be achieved. When the right tools are at hand, fusing glass is easy and fun. Once you try, you will be hooked. In this evening workshop you will:

• learn the basics techniques used in fused glass
• become confident in cutting glass and assembling variety of shapes
• make Christmas tree decorations and other small objects – perfect gifts for family and friends

The workshop is suitable for beginners with no prior knowledge of fused glass as well as improvers. All tools, equipment and materials will be provided, but please bring an apron with you.

Note that your creations will be ready to collect few days after the workshop.
