Workshops Arts Cake icing with The Thrive Archive

Cake icing with The Thrive Archive
Friday 12 February 2016 7:00pm - 9:00pm
St Margaret's House

Part of Giving & Learning Week

The Thrive Archive will be donating Kusse – German kisses intercepted from the Christmas Market, to lovers and lonely hearts at the Galley opening at St Margaret’s House.

Make up and make over with a kiss! Come and tell someone that you love them and decorate a sweet treat!

Their interactive Giving Quilt will also be in the Ground floor lobby all week, so drop in a pick up a stitch.

As Artists in Residence with Edinburgh Palette throughout this year The Thrive Archive has been asking two simple questions:

How does it feel to give and what does it mean to receive? Come and join the debate.

The Thrive Archive’s vision is to empower diverse communities to tell their own stories working collaboratively with a range of artists. They work with schools, libraries, art centres and care homes crossing the traditional boundaries between drama, craft and storytelling. By documenting the process online they build an archive of stories that becomes a legacy for continued community growth.
