This 6 week course if the perfect introduction to Iyengar yoga and is suitable for absolute beginners and those new to Iyengar yoga.
The course will introduce the basic asanas (yoga poses) and fundamentals of yoga and prepare you for joining our Beginners or General classes. Learn alongside other beginners, in our beautiful purpose built yoga studio (on the 4th floor) and start feeling the benefit of a regular yoga practice.
Iyengar yoga teaches us alignment in the body which brings ease to the breath and peace to the mind. Yoga helps relieve many health issues, including anxiety and insomnia as well as aches and pains. It is meditation in action.
This course is taught by Lucy, who runs the studio and has over 20 years’ experience of teaching Iyengar yoga. We only offer this course a few times a year and it is a great way to start your yoga journey.
6 classes, Tuesdays 19:20 – 20:20, 26th April to 31st May, £50. Discounts available for full time students, under 26 and those experiencing financial hardship. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.

Class size is limited and the studio is very large, giving everyone plenty of space. All equipment is provided. Iyengar yoga is suitable for everybody as it can be easily adapted to suit individual requirements.
