Making different kinds of marks is partly an expression of how I am feeling and partly it’s a response to what I am seeing. Sometimes I'm more concerned with the making of marks and abstracting from the figure than I am with the figure itself. In fact representation has become the least of my worries.

Private view Friday 22 January 2016 This exhibition is a collection of mixed media representations of the characters and landscapes of a parallel world: the mythical Shendag Bertec. The drawings are illustrations and companion pieces to the story of Isa Raichenhall and her journey from a mid-20th century Europe torn apart by war to this strange land of strange people, in search of her missing friend.

The TMFC Mini Gallery Residency
Featuring Sketch The Rhyme and Character Jam Edinburgh Mural and Illustration collective The Too Much Fun Club are doing a brief session in Gallery 1, between the 4th and the 17th January, they will be creating a large mural in the space and as a finale they will performing their festival show Sketch The Rhyme to a small audience on the 15th.

Private view Saturday 12, from 12:00pm Collidoscope showcases five artists form five disciplines, colliding together to show their latest works in St Margaret's House. The exhibition crosses traditional art and craft bounderies and features artists from Scotland, Poland and Taiwan showing painting, sculpture, textile, print and pottery. Artists and crafts makers who would never otherwise collide are coming together to create something magical.

This third Re:See It exhibition at St Margaret's House extends its reach this year, calling on the creative communities engaged with Creative Carbon Scotland Edinburgh and the Green Tease Network in addition to tenants of St Margaret's House.
