Gray's Interim Show

Preview Saturday 5 March This is the sixth year in succession that Gray’s 4th year Painters have had their Interim Exhibition at Edinburgh Palette and once again they have produced a body of work that showcases both the breadth and depth of Painting practice that takes place within the department at Gray’s. The Painting course at Gray’s School of Art is currently ranked number one in Scotland, scoring 100% student satisfaction in this year's National Student Survey.

Opening Friday 19 February, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm 'Thematic' is the first exhibition by Blueroom Collective, an experimental design collective focused on working beyond the confines of commercial graphic design across a range of traditional and emerging media. The exhibition features experimental typographic works, primarly in print, commenting on current themes and issues in the modern world - political, ethical, creative and social.

Featuring Colin Wilson & Neil Ogg Preview Friday 12 January Sweet F. A. showcases paintings by Edinburgh based artists Neil Ogg and Colin Wilson. Having met while studying at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee, the two artists now share a studio at St Margaret’s House. This exhibition presents two separate bodies of work created in a space of shared influences over the last year and a half.

Giving & Learning Week

A week worth of collaborative events and learning activities, led by resident artists, makers and instructors. All of the workshops are themed around bigger ideas of giving, sharing and learning. All proceeds from the diverse programme of participatory events will go towards Re-Act Edinburgh and their good work with displaced refugees across Europe.

Private view Friday 22 January 2016 XLA is an art project that has spanned the past three years. However it has been 23 years in the making. The term XLA originates from the medical term for X-linked Agammaglobulinemia, a rare immune condition that I was born with. The work is themed around life living with a medical condition that has both hindered and helped my growth as a person.

Private view Friday 22 January 2016 In this exhibition I will show paintings and drawings and some monoprints. Making different kinds of marks is partly an expression of how I am feeling and partly it’s a response to what I am seeing. Sometimes I'm more concerned with the making of marks and abstracting from the figure than I am with the figure itself. In fact representation has become the least of my worries.

The drawings are illustrations and companion pieces to the story of Isa Raichenhall and her journey from a mid-20th century Europe torn apart by war to this strange land of strange people, in search of her missing friend.

The TMFC Mini Gallery Residency

Featuring Sketch The Rhyme and Character Jam Edinburgh Mural and Illustration collective The Too Much Fun Club are doing a brief session in Gallery 1, between the 4th and the 17th January, they will be creating a large mural in the space and as a finale they will performing their festival show Sketch The Rhyme to a small audience on the 15th.
