Winter Open Studios | November 2014

The artists, makers and craftspeople of St Margaret’s House are opening their studios to the public for a weekend-long event. Family-friendly workshops, a craft fair, a café and one-off performances will take place across the building’s eight storeys. The Makers' Fair | November 2014

As part of our Open Studios weekend, a cluster of artists and makers holding studios in St Margaret’s will be selling their work in a special, two-day fair. Expect to see paintings, greetings cards and prints for sale, alongside handmade crafts such as ceramics, soaps, candles and soft textiles. In Lynn Ahrens' work, themes extracted from the origins of life through childhood, art and imagination recur and take new forms. Lifeworld is a selection of figurative paintings and paperworks exploring these human themes.The situations in which Ahrens posits the figures determine the form they take, as much as they themselves inform the scenes around them. Bridge Pottery Collective exhibition | October 2014

The Bridge Pottery Collective (BPC) was established in 2011 as a home for pottery equipment, including a lustre kiln that was bequeathed by Margery Clinton [1932-2004] to her friend, and founding member of the collective, Alison Robinson. In 2011, the BPC opened in St Margaret’s House.
