What’s On Exhibitions Tremors by Lynn Ahrens

Lynn Ahrens is a figurative painter who has exhibited widely in Scotland with many solo and group exhibitions, including winning the premier award for painting in Aberdeen Artists Open Exhibition, and in the SSA in Edinburgh.

He recently exhibited in “Figurative Art Now” 2021, at the Mall Galleries London, and has previously exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery Open Exhibition in London, and at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Scotland.

He also exhibited in the first International Festival of the Arts in Tblisi, Georgia, and subsequently had a solo show there at The Old Gallery, Tblisi. Having maintained contact with Georgian artists he organised an Edinburgh Festival exhibition at Patriothall Gallery, for “Three Scottish Painters and three Georgian Painters “.

He now works at Edinburgh Palette Studios and this online exhibition derives from his solo exhibition “Tremors” which took place  there this summer, and hopefully will give those who missed that exhibition an opportunity to see the show onscreen.

Statement

The figures in this exhibition portray young men in many of the drawings and paintings who “don’t draw conclusions on the wall”, as they are still preoccupied with the substance of their own exotic world as they discover it.
