Thursday 26 November - Saturday 28 November
12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

An exhibition by Prisca and Jeff Kemp at Gallery 2, Edinburgh Palette, 151 London Road, EH76AE.

26 – 28th November 2020, 12:00 noon – 6:00pm

With one or two exceptions, this collection was made in the first months of 2020 as we processed the impact of Covid through pictures and poems.

Some responses were, unsurprisingly, sombre. Though much of the exhibition focuses on facing days unchanging as a landscape.

“A Plagiarization Of The Dire Year” containing all the exhibition’s words and artwork is available at the event or by contacting

(which can also be used to answer any questions such as booking a time to visit).

Get Creative With Fused Glass (one-on-one workshop)

Get Creative With Fused Glass (one-on-one workshop)

Saturday 28 November
11:00 am - 4:30 pm

Have you ever tried fusing glass? It is a lot of fun and utterly addictive. In this workshop you will learn how this is done and give it a go. You can make a beautiful glass bowl, a colorful suncatcher, Christmas decorations or something else that has a personal meaning to you. If you already have basic skills, you can work on your desired project or learn a new technique. This is one-on-one workshop, you will get personal tuition. You can come with another person, as long it is a family member or someone from your support “bubble”.

Fusing glass enables individual pieces to be transformed into a single object when they are put together and exposed to high temperature in a kiln. Depending on the temperature used, different textures and other interesting visual effects can be achieved. Furthermore, placing the glass into a mould or on a prop can produce three-dimensional forms with varying complexity.

In this workshop you will:
• learn the basics of fusing glass
• become skilled in cutting glass and assembling simple forms
• learn how to achieve desired textures and other effects
• design and make your own glass objects to take home

Note that your creations will not be ready at the end of the workshop, but will be available to collect from the studio 3-4 days after the workshop. All tools and materials will be provided.

Fair Isle Knitting Online

Fair Isle Knitting Online

Saturday 28 November
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

In this workshop we will learn Fair Isle knitting using Tin Can Knits Anthology cowl recipe. A great first project for those looking to try colour-work in their knitting. The pattern gives you the chance to experiment with different Fair Isle designs and colours which we’ll explore during the class. Please come to class having already cast-on and completed the ribbing section of the regular cowl so we can jump straight in to the Fair Isle portion and get creative!

Materials Required

  • 250 yards total Aran weight yarn (in 2 or more colours)
  • 4.0mm & 5.0mm circular needle (40cm)
  • Stitch markers
  • Please note you will have the cowl ribbing to complete as homework before the workshop, so you will be able to get straight to the Fair Isle in the workshop (the fun bit)!
