February will see the Annual Exhibition at the Edinburgh Palette of Drawing and Painting by the final year Painting students from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen. The exhibition will give the public the opportunity to see the students work before their final year Degree Show in Aberdeen in June. The exhibition is not only an important event for the individual students participating, but for the Art School as a whole, showcasing as it does, the diverse and exciting work currently being undertaken in the Painting department at Gray’s.

Learn to spin and ply in a half a day workshop with Debbie Zawinski (aka The Feral Spinner) author of the book In the Footsteps of Sheep. Using the simplest of tools, you will learn to spin with a spinning stick, the Feral Spinner way! You will go home with a small skein of yarn at the end of the workshop.
There will be a 30 minute break in the middle of he class to pop out for a bite to eat (there is a cute cafe across the road) or you can bring a packed lunch.
All materials supplied with the workshop. Perfect for beginners or those looking for a new technique!

Sewing is an ideal holiday activity for children. It stimulates their creativity while enabling mental and physical development, and encouraging focus and concentration.
Some basic sewing machine experience is required so children must have previously completed my Introductory sewing class before taking this class.
Artisan Stitch has recently won a Certificate of Excellence and is rated provider of ‘Best sewing classes in Edinburgh’. Jen has over 40 years sewing experience and 20 years in a teaching & training role.
