Embodying Nature - Intuitive Painting & Meditation Course

Tuesday 10 September - Tuesday 1 October
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The classes combine intuitive painting, meditation, and writing. They provide a safe and positive space for free expression, with the aim to develop an intuitive approach to the creative process. Art is used as a tool for pure self-expression, healing, and transformation.

Participants have the chance to work on any subject, emotion or thought they wish to explore through the process. However, a general theme is always provided. A short guided meditation opens and closes the practice and helps to relax the mind and the body.

The four weeks course will focus on the connection with nature and will use the four elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) to journey through different aspects of the Self. When we embody nature we are free to be who we are and can connect with the deepest and sacred part of ourselves. Through guided imagery, intuitive painting, and freewriting we will gently explore our lives, creating the space to let go of the old and welcome the new.

All the materials will be provided: acrylic paints, paper, paintbrushes, aprons, towels, sponges etc.

Everyone is welcome and no experience in painting or meditation is required.

Reiki Meditation Classes

Sunday 15 September - Sunday 27 October
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Relax and restore your energy with our guided meditations combined with Reiki.

Every week we will focus on a particular aspect of our being, exploring the mind, the body and the spirit. Also, we will practice our imagination and connect with our intuitive self by experimenting with the art of visualisation.

The Japanese word Reiki can be translated into “the universal life force energy that energises and animates all living things”.Energy healing is the most natural and gentle form of healing, it creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being.

As relaxation deepen the quality of our inner awareness comes closer to our natural state of being.

Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is required. Blankets and yoga mats are available.

Creative Meditation Classes

Thursday 19 September - Thursday 10 October
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Through guided visualisation and some creative practice, we will embrace the present moment allowing mind, body, and spirit to come into a restful state of pure alignment. The classes offer a creative approach to meditation and can include the use of different art materials. Everyone is welcome and no experience is required!

Each week we will explore a different theme and will experiment with some art material! We will start with a gentle guided meditation to connect with our creative energy, to let go of our day and relax. Then we will move into our art practice where you will have the chance to explore any feeling, situation or thought that is there for you on the day. We will close our class with another short meditation to resettle ourselves and get ready to move back into the outside world.

Expect drawing, stone painting, clay modeling, collage and much more!

Informed by a collective of memories from one family home, my practice is an exploration of how I can translate specific personal moments through the process of painting.

“Memories of pleasure, pain, sadness and joy, are the common thread that unites all human beings. Memories are our existence, and art is their system of replication.” (Farr 2012)

A chosen memory is always the stimulus. Developing shapes and forms from initial drawings, my paintings reflect the sensations felt while unpacking the memory, through a specific texture, a precise colour or a particular noise. The drawings vary from memory to memory; sometimes they require a different type of mark or restraint for me to develop the outcome. Shape is an extremely important element in my work. I believe that developing specific shapes, relating to individual objects and spaces (which are often suppressed beneath layers in the painting) harmonises with the mysterious workings of our minds.
