Stained Glass Skill classes. Advanced and intermediate

Tuesday 10 September
10:00 am - 1:00 pm

This workshop is available for those who have done a course and want to develop there own project under expert supervision.

You can book packs of 5 sessions (five Tuesdays). It doesn’t need to be correlative but you have to use in maximum 5 months from the first session.
There is also a limit to the size of panel which can be undertaken due to storage space.

Embodying Nature - Intuitive Painting & Meditation Course

Tuesday 10 September - Tuesday 1 October
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The classes combine intuitive painting, meditation, and writing. They provide a safe and positive space for free expression, with the aim to develop an intuitive approach to the creative process. Art is used as a tool for pure self-expression, healing, and transformation.

Participants have the chance to work on any subject, emotion or thought they wish to explore through the process. However, a general theme is always provided. A short guided meditation opens and closes the practice and helps to relax the mind and the body.

The four weeks course will focus on the connection with nature and will use the four elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) to journey through different aspects of the Self. When we embody nature we are free to be who we are and can connect with the deepest and sacred part of ourselves. Through guided imagery, intuitive painting, and freewriting we will gently explore our lives, creating the space to let go of the old and welcome the new.

All the materials will be provided: acrylic paints, paper, paintbrushes, aprons, towels, sponges etc.

Everyone is welcome and no experience in painting or meditation is required.

Flow Pilates Class 8 week Autumn Block

Matwork classes taught by experienced Body Control Pilates teacher Jyoti Sigouin.
They are fun and sociable, and kept to a maximum of 12 so everyone gets lots of the personal attention and correction that Body Control Pilates is renowned for.

In the Flow class, the flowing movement that makes Pilates such a joy comes to the fore, increasing your endurance and building strength and flexibility. As we introduce some of the advanced exercises from Joseph Pilates’ original classic mat you’ll also find your mind challenged by the more complex choreographed sequences. And there is lots of fun with the small equipment too!

Iyengar yoga class - Level 2

Iyengar Yoga class – suitable for those who have been practicing yoga for at least one year. You should be familiar with the simpler asanas and able to hold Sarvangasana (Shoulder stand) comfortably for at least 3 minutes.

Yoga Now studio is on the 4th floor of St.Margaret’s House. It is a beautiful, spacious and fully equipped yoga studio – we even have a wonderful wall of yoga ropes! We provide mats and everything else you need for our structured and engaging classes.

Introductory Pass – £50 for 6 classes in 6 weeks
Autumn Term Pass – £128 for 16 classes in 16 weeks (just £8 each).
Single class £12

Our Level 2 classes build on your experience from the Level 1 classes, introducing new asanas, including Sirsasana (Headstand) and simple Pranayama practice (breath control). You will do more work using the wall ropes and learn more variations of the familiar poses. You will be encouraged to practice at home to consolidate your learning and some basic aspects of yoga philosophy may be introduced.

All of our teachers have trained for many years in the Iyengar tradition. Lucy, who runs the studio, has been studying Iyengar yoga for 33 years and has studied with Geeta and Prashant Iyengar in Pune and with many other senior teachers in the UK.

Iyengar yoga class - Level 1

Iyengar Yoga class – suitable for beginners.

Regular practice of yoga can help with both physical and mental wellbeing. Our Level 1 classes introduce the basic asanas which enable you to progress at a suitable pace to more challenging poses. You will be learning with others with a similar level of experience and if you attend regularly, you will be able to progress to Level 2 and 3 classes in time.
