In this new body of work, of paintings and drawings, Lynn Ahrens focuses on the malleable
form of the human figure to produce images which reveal a vision of ourselves in the world
which both replenishes, and challenges the anatomy of living.

Lynn Ahrens is a previous winner of the Shell Expro Premier Award at Aberdeen Artists
Open Exhibition, was selected for BP National Portrait Open Exhibition London 2007, and has exhibited widely in the UK and twice in Tblisi Georgia.

His last solo was at the Edinburgh Palette Gallery in 2017.

Curtain-making class

Thursday 28 March
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

New for 2019! This curtain-making class will give the skills to make your own professional-looking curtains.

Having curtains made costs a fortune. But ready-made curtains come in standard sizes and usually don’t fit well. And the colours and patterns available can be restrictive.

Learn to make your own curtains and be able to choose from a larger range of fabrics, as well as making huge savings.

This 1-day class will teach you how to:

>measure your windows
>calculate pattern repeats
>cut fabric to the correct lengths required
>how to join widths if necessary
>how to take up the hems
>apply your chosen heading tape

Must be pre-booked at: https://www.artisanstitch.co.uk/how-to-make-curtains/
