Visual Audio Hub

Tuesday 13 March - Sunday 1 April
11:00 am - 6:00 pm

Closing event: Friday 30th March

A 3 week, Visual Audio Hub within the 3 galleries at St Margaret’s House – a residency between 3 AV artists to explore experiment and dive into the realms of lights visuals and sounds to develop immersive experience art forms.

The start of a collaboration to give space and time to three AV artists who normally meet and work on events in the music industry. The short timescale of Festivals and music events makes it always difficult for visual artists to test and develop their art forms, the set-up is short and the opportunity for musicians to have pre-production work rarely occurs.

This 3 week residency will be the opportunity for each artist to share and use the 3 galleries setting up their own installations inviting musicians and other artists to collaborate and todevelop particular aspects of their practices.

Re:connect

Re:Connect Digital Drop-ins

Thursday 29 March
11:00 am - 2:00 pm

People Know How’s latest project supports people to realise their full potential.
Re:Connect is a service that provides free access to laptops along with volunteers to help people navigate online services.

At our Digital Drop-ins, we build up people’s confidence and ask them what they want to get from computers and the internet. We want people to know that if they want to do someone online but don’t know where to start, they can come to a drop in session to get some helpful advice. Whether they want to create a CV, find a cheaper utility provider, create an email account or look at entertainment we are there to help you do that.

Our volunteers come from a range of backgrounds with a variety of skills and experience, and we believe that people know how to find the answers to their questions
over a friendly conversation.

There are two drop-ins located at our office at 5.03 St. Margaret’s House.
Thursdays from 11am – 2pm
Saturdays from 11am – 1pm (1 st , 3 rd , 5 th Saturday of the month)
4pm – 6pm (2 nd & 4 th Saturday in the month) – in association with Feniks Counselling

Additionally we have drop-ins throughout the city at these locations
Monday – Streetwork 9:30 – 11:30am
Tuesday – Dr. Bells 11 – 2pm
Wednesday – Ripple Project 11 – 2pm
Friday – Starbucks Leith Walk (Shrub Pl) 2pm – 6pm 4pm

Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, evening class

Thursday 29 March
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Ashtanga is a dynamic, very energising yoga style.
A great way to start the new year!

This class is an introduction to the Ashtanga yoga method, we will finish the class with relaxation in Savasana (corpse pose)

Please notice that this class is still tough, the difference between this class and a regular full led Ashtanga class is that the pace is slower, as I take the time to explain the postures in more detail.

Mats available on request or bring your own
