6 Week Dressmaking Class - 25th April

This dress making class is ideal for someone who has intermediate dressmaking skills, you should be comfortable using a sewing machine and have made simple projects such as cushions or bags.

Key skills learned throughout this course:

  • Measuring, adjusting and pattern cutting
  • Fabric Properties & grain lines
  • Fitting a concealed zip
  • Hemming and finishing

ECA | Running Up That Hill

“Running Up That Hill” is an exhibition showcasing the progressing art practices of third year Edinburgh College of Art students from the four disciplines of Painting, Intermedia, Sculpture and Photography. The exhibition encapsulates a variety of perspectives reflecting the exciting diversity of ways in which our generation is approaching contemporary art practice. From the navigation of everyday society and the re-examination of conditions rooted in art history to the creation of imagined worlds and narratives, a range of themes are explored as we are all Running Up That Hill.

General Yoga class at Yoga Now studio

General level classes are suitable for all levels of experience of yoga and are welcoming Beginners at the moment. We concentrate on the Level 1 poses in these classes with some options for those with more experience so do some more challenging work. Alternatives are given according to ability.

Friday classes 9:45 – 11:00 am
Saturday  classes 11:00 – 12:30 am

Stained Glass Weekend Workshops for Beginners

YOU WILL LEARN THE BASIC SKILLS NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR OWN GLASS PANEL IN TWO DAYS.
• Basic panel design
• Cutting glass
• Lead work
• Welding
• Cementing, polishing and finishing

Small class size allows for plenty of individual attention
All tools, equipment and refreshments provided.
Please bring a packed lunch and wear warm, comfortable clothing and sturdy, flat shoes.

Leith Lapidary Club Open Day

Join us for our annual Leith Lapidary Club Open Day.

Have a tour of our studio, learn about Lapidary, have a go at enamelling, get a bite to eat at our pop-up café.  There will be a display of members work.  An opportunity to buy yourself a unique piece of handmade jewellery or win a prize on the tombola.  Looking forward to seeing you.
