6 Week Dressmaking Class

Thursday 9 March - Thursday 20 April
6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This dress making class is ideal for someone who has intermediate dressmaking skills, you should be comfortable using a sewing machine and have made simple projects such as cushions or bags.

What if stillness in the life room is only a context, like silence is to music?

Alan McGowan’s expressive life paintings explore the relationship between our perceptions, the movement of life all around and the attempt to encapsulate it in the language of paint. “Unstill Life” is both an exhibition of paintings and the launch of a new book of McGowan’s work.

Our classes are fun and friendly. They introduce different artists and techniques each week. Children get to use a variety of materials and are encouraged to further their ability and imagination. Working in a rage of 2d and 3d mediums, we meet children where they are, all abilities are welcome.

PILATES 4 ALL by Clare Shillinglaw

I run fun and friendly Pilates classes held in the Drawing Room, 3rd Floor on Tuesday evenings 5-6pm 6:15-7:15pm.

Pilates is amazing for improving posture, balance, flexibility and easing any muscle and joint niggles. Regular practice can help you build long and lean muscle, strengthen the core from within and relax the mind. It is suitable for a wide range of people, from beginners to professional sportspeople, and including pregnant women and seniors so please come along!

Iyengar Yoga classes - Level 1

This level is suitable for people who have done the Beginners class or have some previous experience of Iyengar yoga.  We concentrate on standing poses at this level and introduce a range of sitting poses, twists, backbends, shoulder stand and restorative poses.

Thursday Classes:  17:45 – 19:00
