News Events & Exhibitions Edinburgh Palette are Looking for Voluntary Exhibition Invigilators for the Summer Show

Edinburgh Palette are looking for voluntary exhibition invigilators to help co-ordinate their annual summer exhibition, held at St Margaret’s House. The charity is looking for enthusiastic and engaged individuals to help run the overall day to day activity of the gallery spaces, with duties  that would include:

– Set-up of the Summer Show – Tuesday 29th of July – Thursday 6th of August

– Organising the selection of works; the storage of the work that is dropped off, helping to put works on walls and meeting  and liasing with the artists

– Helping with the running and set up of the opening night : 2pm-8pm. This would include helping to setting-up the show, organising the bar , sales and helping with the get out and clean-up of the rooms.

– Invigilation of the show during its hours of opening : 10am – 5pm, this would include:
– Welcoming visitors to all 3 galleries
–  Ensuring there is right information about artists
– Helping to organise sales of the art work
– Updating website/twitter/facebook with details about artists works
– Helping to distribute to visitors information about the show
– Closing down exhibition, turning the  lights off / closing doors
