On Saturday 17 January 2015, Dave Cohen will give a talk, entitled Basic Elements of Design. These elements serve as his visual vocabulary used in the development of his work.
Cohen is an esteemed and active potter, and retired lecturer of Ceramics at ECA. He presently works from his studio at North Berwick’s Tantallon Studios, where his work is on display in the garden and gallery. The talk will comprise of a slide show focusing on how he applied the elements of the visual vocabulary to his art over the last 53 years. All artists, visitors and residents with an interest in design, ceramics or craft will be made welcome.
It is scheduled to be held in room G5 on the Ground Floor of the building, from 11am sharp. Admission will be free but this is a ticketed event. Confirm your place here via Eventbrite.
