St Margaret’s House residents will open the doors of their studios this Spring, on the 21st of April 2018. This is a great opportunity to discover the wonders that lie behind the door of each studio in the building, and meet an astounding array of creative people from all fields from art to charity, crafts and other worlds.

Free workshops, demonstrations, a pop-up café and one-off events will take place across the building’s nine storeys. Visitors will also be able to enjoy three exhibitions in our galleries from the Bridge Pottery Collective, Care for Carers (in collaboration with Stills Gallery) and Sylvie Stainton.

Update on the sale of St Margaret’s House

Last week, Sophia Burns (Arts Community Director), Andrew Chainey (Development Manager) and board member Stephen Oswald met in presence of our lawyer with the current owners of St Margaret’s House (the Caledonian Trust) and new owners (the Drum Property Group) in regards to the sale of the building. A provisional time-frame for vacating the premises of 18 months has been discussed and as soon as we receive a signed agreement for the vacancy date we will forward this to you.

Residents meetings have been scheduled for the end of this week and the beginning of next week.

If you are a resident and haven’t received dates and times about this, come see us in the office or contact Johanna directly at
communications@edinburghpalette.co.uk

Please share this information within your collective or organisation or with your studio colleagues.

Thank you again for your patience during this time of transition.

Yours sincerely,

Help needed in the Swap Shop

Unfortunately we’ve had to close the Swap Shop due to safety concerns.
Do you have half an hour to help with the clean up?
We are going in on Thursday 6th July from 1-3pm to have a good clear out.

If you can help out, even for half an hour we would really appreciate it and you would be helping keep this valuable resource open for everyone who loves it.
Thank you so much
Jaimie
