The Edinburgh Palette community events are designed to enhance and keep our rich and colourful art community alive. They stem directly from the diverse range of disciplines practised in the Edinburgh Palette community. By producing bespoke events, Edinburgh Palette supports the artists and designers by giving them opportunities to showcase their work, meet and network with fellow residents and extend their visibility to the local communities of the area.
The annual Open Studio event reveals the array and variety of talent and practices present in the Edinburgh Palette Community to the local area and city of Edinburgh. All residents and organisations are invited to join the event. Encouraging co-curated group exhibitions within the galleries brings the residents to meet and share their work, ignites future collaborations, curations and creations. See Resident Summer Show and the Maker’s Fair, as well as previous exhibitions Re: See-it, Make Yourself at Home and Medley. The Fashion Show was created in 2013 to display the talent and skills of the many textile designers resident at Edinburgh Palette.
Edinburgh Palette also encourages and supports its residents in offering regular social and networking events, such as a quarterly potluck and regular cinema nights.
