News Month: October 2017

The Open Doors was a fabulous event this year with approximately 1500 people coming through our doors over the weekend. The feedback we have had so far has all been very positive and the team had a lot of fun while working hard too.

A HUGE thank you to all the studio holders for opening their spaces, workshop and event leaders who made the event something really special, volunteers and staff that took care of everyone and helped guide visitors through the maze that is St Margaret’s House, and to all the visitors that came and saw what we are up to in the building. We look forward to doing it again.

Our next big event is the Christmas Makers Fair an the  9th and 10th of December. If you are interested n taking part or finding out more, come to the Arts Communities Office on the third floor or keep an eye out for more information coming soon.

Sarah Lomax will be joined by The First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon on Wednesday 1st November LIVE (11am GMT) on SAM RADIO. She’ll be asking about what The Scottish Government‘s plans are for the Autism community, as well as what she gets up to outside politics! (We won’t discuss -actual- politics on air.)

SAM RADIO is a community internet radio station that caters for adults who have been diagnosed with Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome. The station is the first of its kind in Scotland.
