Open Doors | Stories from Smokey Brae

Stories from smokey braeHow did you come to work in Smokey Brae?

The Scottish International Storytelling Festival is teaming up with The Thrive Archive to showcase ‘your story’ during St Margaret’s House OPEN DOORS on Saturday 21st October to share ‘Stories from Smokey Brae’.

The site of St Margaret’s House is rich in stories, from it’s ancient healing well to coining the name Smokey Brae as a steam train depot. Now collaborative artist and apprentice storyteller Jan Bee Brown wants to add your story, share your favourite story, hear a story that has inspired your creative practice, the story of how travel has inspired your art or perhaps the story of your creative journey.

Jan is looking for a creative or two from each floor of St Margaret’s House to spotlight as part of a bespoke story tour for members of the public. Jan will discuss your story with you before devising a 45-minute journey of discovery to take place on the hour from 11 – 4pm on Saturday 21st October.
