2016 has been an exciting and busy year here at St Margaret’s House

As the year draws to a close we’d like to thank you all for your continued support towards the Edinburgh Palette project

This year we welcomed 3 new staff members at St Margaret’s House, as part of our Arts Community team.

Cécile Levavasseur as assistant towards galleries and events running with Edinburgh Palette, Johanna Crossley-Zels our new and first Communication Officer and Giosue Bima part of the main Office team – all three dived into the lively ‘hub’ by helping to design and run the Open Doors and the Makers’ Fair of 2016.

Photos of the Makers’ Fair

Thank you so much to all those who participated this weekend in the Makers’ Fair. There was such a great atmosphere. The event was really appreciated by those who came to visit.

So… to all those setting up, invigilating and helping with take-down – you’ve been stars! We hope you’ve enjoyed getting involved in this annual big collective event. We send you our sincerest thanks for all your help and making this event such a joy to work on!

We estimate that around 600-800 people attended the fair this weekend, some of whom had never been to the building. The community café went really well so we hope to continue to be able to put this on during our events.

There are a few photos below but you can see more photos on our Facebook page.
