Place: The Steeple, 67 High Street, Newburgh, Fife, KY14 6AH
Keep creative over the festive season and jolly to Fife for an afternoon of creative life-drawing, colour splashing and experimenting. Figurative artists in residency, Mira and Marcin (Naked Aye Art collective) warmly invite you to join their open-to-all (untutored) life drawing event at The Steeple in Fife, on 29th December. Two models will be sitting for us over the course of the afternoon, one male and one female (who is currently pregnant).
Drawing boards, easels, nibbles, drinks and tunes will be provided. Feel free to invite friends & newbies.
Next week on Monday and Tuesday from 3:30 to 7pm, there will be a small charity event you’re all welcome to join.
Isabel Buenz and Jane Buxton will be offering their amazing paper wrapping skills in the third floor library for your Christmas presents. Bring your present, your paper and any ribbon or decoration you wish to be used, enjoy some tea, coffee or biscuits while they will beautifully wrap your gift for a donation that will go to charities – Oxfam and The Wild Cat Haven.
So on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th, feel free to come by in the third floor library for a little social gathering and to catch up before Christmas closing.
Thank you so much to all those who participated this weekend in the Makers’ Fair. There was such a great atmosphere. The event was really appreciated by those who came to visit.
So… to all those setting up, invigilating and helping with take-down – you’ve been stars! We hope you’ve enjoyed getting involved in this annual big collective event. We send you our sincerest thanks for all your help and making this event such a joy to work on!
We estimate that around 600-800 people attended the fair this weekend, some of whom had never been to the building. The community café went really well so we hope to continue to be able to put this on during our events.
There are a few photos below but you can see more photos on our Facebook page.
Here on the third floor we are a hive of activity preparing for the Makers’ Fair this weekend. We can’t wait to share the festive spirit with you all!
